Flippable’s main goal is simple: to help “turn America blue” by building power at all levels of government, both federal and state.

While state politics may not generate the same energy and theater as national politics, Democrats desperately need to control more state legislatures if they have any hope of stopping gerrymandering and recapturing Congress and the Oval Office. Check out Flippable here.

Swing Left

Swing Districts are places where the winner of the last House of Representatives election was determined by a thin margin. Swing Left helps you find and commit to supporting progressives in your closest Swing District so that you can help ensure we take back the House in 2018. There are 70 Swing Districts. These are places where the last election was won by 15% of the vote or less, where Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump, where a high concentration of Swing Left volunteers make certain districts very winnable, or where other, specific circumstances make it a competitive district. Progressives need to flip at least 24 seats to take back the House in 2018. Find your closest swing district & pledge to help it swing left!

The Public Leadership Institute

Have you ever heard of framing? Conservatives have been using framing techniques for the last forty years to connect their issues to American values through framing techniques. The Public Leadership Institute has begun a similar effort to connect progressive values to specific policy goals. They conduct a program of message and communications training for policy leaders and individuals called Voicing Our Values. The cornerstone of the program is the yearly publication of a message book, titled Voicing Our Values, which includes practical messaging on many specific progressive issue areas (e.g. budget and taxes, education, environment).
